Riding Motorcycles In High Winds: Is One Hand Is Better Than Two?
I don’t care what you ride, a big enormous cruiser like the Suzuki Boulevard C109R, or a light - weight sportbike like the Ninja 250R, one of the most strenuous times to ride is when you have a tetchy wind screaming like a banshee across the road. If it’s a steady wind you can at leading settle into it, strike an well-timed skinny angle, and trip. Well take emotions, due to I’m about to divulge a secret to how you can make this very unpleasant situation a lot better. Let go with one hand. Oh clear, you’re saying. I’m struggling with all my might to keep the bike bustle where I want it to go, using two hands, and you’re telling me to use one? Are you psycho?
That’s OK, I understand. That’s what I would have vocal, too, until I discovered this dinky trick completely by accident. Here’s the deal. I was headed due east one day and the wind from the south was torrential. Fight it as I did, it still was pushing me toward, and sometimes over the seat line, and I was very glad finished was nearly no other traffic on this road.
I had been through this kind of business before. Once I rode an entire day across northern New Mexico with cipher screaming desolate out of the north.
